Vertical is actually I map I made quite a while ago.  It features two bases like every other tfc map... except this time one is directly above the other.  It's like most other tfc maps... except verticalized ;)  It's also got a few other features.  It's not quite done, but this version only has some minor bugs.

<br>Red: Ascend the stairs from your space station to blue's space station.  Take the flag and return it to your base.
<br>
<br>Blue:  Prevent red from doing this.
<br>
<br>Tips & Tricks:
<br>
<br>Use the trapdoor to quickly get back into Red's base.  Watch out for this blue since you'll either need a very good sniper, or you'll just have to kill red before he reaches the flag.
<br>
<br>Blow up the stairs by placing a detpack on the first step.
<br>
<br>If the stairs are blown up, repair them by using the engineer's wrench on the support column.
<br>
<br>Lots of dark places for people to hide in the stairwells.
<br>
<br>Blue will find it very effective to throw grenades down stairwells.

In your missions in North Africa, France and Germany you will be on your own and have to act alike. Your mission is, to fulfil your objectives without being detected, which is for your own safety. Many situations can be solved better by cheating, sneaking and sometimes with a well aimed shot as opposed to an offensive assault.

<br>One of the special features of Ops1942 is the Mission Selection System. This allowes mappers to add missions after the game has been released, just by copy and paste. The Ops1942 community will be able to download these new missions at our homepage. Due to this concept players hopefully are much longer interested in this type of SP mod than in normal SP mods.
<br>To realize this idea we developed a special application to start the mod, which is placed in the ../ops1942 folder, called OpsLoader.exe. This Application detect all missions installed in the ../maps folder. By using the navgation and start buttons the player is able to select and start a mission in an easy way.

<br>This version is being released for releasing sake more than because it is a complete version.
<br>My name is Dan Walters, I live in the UK and am 18 as of the date of writting this document (June 2004). I began AMOD when i was 13 with another teenager called Chris Mcmath, after he completed MacBeth, a singleplayer map pack.
<br>That was my inspiration to become a modification developer and so began building a team, making maps and models, etc.
<br>Such significant individuals i met up with were Kanachi, Videodrone, Majestic, M|N|0N, Snowfox, BlackOps, and so many more who I just can`t remember. We all had a good time for the most part and enjoyed developing this game.
<br>Production started grinding to a halt when I was 15 as the team lost momentum but we managed to release playable versions which we enjoyed testing.
<br>Two or three years on I have finally decided to pull things together and make a public release, to honour the hard work and commitment placed down by the team.
<br>Please keep in mind this was produced several years ago when I was much younger and less mature. We generally consider the work a bit crap, especially compared to modern game production.

<br>Multiplayer in AMOD is surprisingly fun. To start a game, just start as you would normally if a HL multiplayer game and choose from deathmath, team play or co-operative mode.
<br>There are alot of very good maps for multiplayer play in thsi release, so start exploring.
<br>Co-operative play does not yet support map changing. Hehe, does not yet support, its never going to support it because this is the only release ever going to be made.
<br>So, the server host has to change maps manually in the console at the end of each level. Check the /maps/ dir for map names.

<br>Finding Your way to the end
<br>
<br>The start of the game is relatively easy to follow however as you start jumping through teleporters and such like, you may wish to consider reading the following info:
<br>If you see a redspaceship, turn arround, go back through the subway and take another door at the tower.
<br>If you see a crashed white spaceship, take a few steps back and go down the stairs and through the door.
<br>If you see a yellow spaceship, go underneath it, stand on the yellow platform and duck.
<br>If the screen says `THE END` you have probably seen most of the game.
<br>
<br>Known Bugs
<br>
<br>What doesn`t work? What does? I`ll be honest, I haven`t done a final run through of the levels but I want some sleep. Things to watch out for are:

<br>some wierd reloading animation error 
<br>vdrones maps (sorry, my fault) when you find the spacecraft, go in behind it and get on the platform. It will rise and try to crush you. Duck. The darkwall is where the door is. Go through it and enjoy map ala Mars. Also, if you shoot at the US flags long enough, the contarctor will appear and tell you real lifes next weeks lottery numbers.

In this game, you team up with another player (preferably on a LAN / somewhere you can directly talk to them) to try and find three books in a building so you can graduate!

<br>For LAN type games, try and get many people online at once, each in teams of two or three.  Then, once one team has all three books, have the server op manually type EndGame(); in the console.
<br>
<br>This game is my first completed project in the Torque engine, and I learned a lot from it.  I didn't have time to highly detail the interior, or nicely align textures, or make a custom player model (students look like orcs, lol).

Here is a nice pack of three video tutorials to help you learn how to make interior structures for SimWorld and other Torque based games using the Quark editor.  There are three video tutorials included, each on a different topic:

This is something we created while attending Ushicon a few years back.  This is the first `fakesub` I created (a re-subbed anime with fake subtitles), along with some idea help from other FLUX Anime club members.  This has the most number of inside jokes of any of the ones so far, so you have been warned :)

<br>The premise is that this could be one of our typical meetings, and since out club members somewhat cooresponded to members of GTO, we decided to use that series.  Enjoy ;)

Tribes 2 is a First Person Shooter with an emphasis on strategy and vehicles.  The game was originally produced by Dynamix and published by Sierra.  The game features impressive moddability (one of my favorites is Construction), servers that support 64 players, and a number of other uncommon features.

<br>Tribes 2 was released for free on May 4, 2004.  Unfortunately, the free game does require a key to play, but it seems there are no more keys available.  Good luck finding one :)
