General TFC Sniper Strategy Half-Life-Tutorials >> Strategy
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------
This is a basic strategy for playing as a Sniper in TFC. This tutorial is not level specific, but it will give the player some general gameplay tips which will hopefully improve their sniping game in TFC.
Clear Water Texture Half-Life >> Other
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------
This doesn't replace the sewer water, but the normal water is replaced with this great looking new texture. I just started using it and it's just so much brighter than the previous, old one. Definately adds a nice touch. Just copy the file in the zip to your main HalfLife folder, the valve folder within the main HalfLife folder, and the main TFC folder.

First attempt at a realistic (And I use that loosely) image in 3DSM. Took a few days of work during my free time at school.
Attempt at Recreation Misc >> Art
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------
I saw the above part of this picture at Deviantart and decided to go and try to recreate it in Max. Not finished by any means, but it's a start (A multiple hour start though). I need to add actual lights now instead of the default environmental lighting in Max. I also have to change the second cup's positioning and change the angle of the camera view point.
Abstract ver 1 (1280x1024) Misc >> Art
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------
My first abstract type piece in Max. Simple to put together, a bitch to render as the Reflect/Refract maps took a freakishly long time to configure before rendering... I like it for the most part, except for the lower left where the black shadows on the tendrils can get a lil distracting if you don't have icons. The image is roughly 1/2 a meg, even zipped so watch out for a lengthy d/l time if your connection sucks. Also I'm working on a lil update to this one but so far it sucks so in the end I'll probably just keep this and stick with it til I tire of it and whip up another abstract one for my desktop. Comments/Suggestions?
Box Madness (1280x1024) Misc >> Art
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------
This was basicly a reproduction of an old Bryce background I made for A Very Old Desktop from 9-30-2002. Kinda felt compelled to try something like it in Max and .... It took a LOT longer to actually set up than the Bryce version basicly because of the real life properties of the materials, lighting, etc... So at long last it's finished. Kinda happy about it even though I admit it's nothing special, it was fun to try something simple like this (Simple if you don't count the countless times I've rendered this each time changing slightly the angles of maybe one or two boxes to reduce the glare or to get rid of this funky grey thing that was happening... *shrug*). I am even thinking of going back to the whole lime green motif for my computer... ... Naaaw

At any rate I prefer this one over the original since this is toned down in intensity and it's definately smoother *Hugs the Brazil renderer*.
