Sweet Home City Kampy

Sweet Home City is a medium size Sven Co-Op map that plays in a city.
<br>You start inside an advanced version of Sweet_home3 (HLDM) where you find weapons and armor. Then you have to fight your way through the streets where groups of soldiers and snipers await you. Once you reached the warehouse there are a lot of aliens to take care of. In the end there is an endboss fight ;-) Oh yeah and there are a lot of small details and gimmicks that you maybe wont see beating the map for the first time. Btw: this map was created on the basis of my counter-strike map as_intruder.

sc_Gosu Kampy
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

I converted my HLDM map Gosu to Sven Co-Op. The theme is the same as in the original map so first you got these lab parts and then later you teleport yourself to the Xen alienworld. SC_Gosu is a medium sized svencoop map, but compared to my other svencoop maps this one is really hard. You can hardly beat it alone. As a little special feature I converted pine_hills to a xen world map and put it into sc_gosu. That's the coolest part imo.

<br>- it is somewhere in the alien environment lab
<br>- after destroying it you can use the teleporter
<br>- use grenades to kill the gargantua
<br>- use the crossbow against the alien controllers (flying aliens)

The Challenge Kampy
ARTICLE DESCRIPTION:

The Challenge is my first serious attempt of making a great Svencoop map and Im pretty sure this is what you get when you download this map! The Challenge uses the maximum amount of entities possible with the HL engine. The main part of the map is a temple with 6 pillars and 6 teleporters. Each teleporter stands for an adventure or a task which you have to fulfill. When the job is done - for example to break a certain target - the teleporter is sealed and the pillar begins to shine. At the start you only have the crowbar. The first room inside the temple contains the glock and chargers for your health and HEV suit plus 6 doors. During the tasks you can find new weapons. Is a task finished one of the doors opens and reveals the weapon that could be found in this task. When all targets have been acchieved a big door opens and you can get some more action. You dont have to do the tasks in the same order everytime you play it, you can even chose if you team up on a mission or simply do several missions at the same time. Every mission has a totally different theme for example one is on a sailing ship. The whole map looks extremely cool and has lots of sounds and custom textures plus an alternative gameplay so I recommend this map to everyone who plays svencoop. It might be a little too easy for good players though.

<br>After 1,5 years of work, my SWcoopforce mod was falling apart due to the disappearance of the mod leader and sole coder.
<br>A harsh disappointment, but it would've been far more harsh to let it all end this way. So me, a modeler and another
<br>mapper chose to port all of our stuff over to the new Svencoop 2.1 version. Later it turned out the other guys
<br>had far less sparetime which forced them to give up also, so i had to do it alone.
<br>Due to Svencoop custom limitations i had to cut out most of the former model stuff accept a Trooper, a blaster, 
<br>hands and the detonator model. Thank god, OneEyedNewt was kind enough to help with the replacement compiles.
<br>Instead of using old SWcoopforce map parts, i decided to plan a new map with a stronger coop setup. Had to cut what was
<br>supposed to be 1 map into 3 parts. Data loss in Worldcraft and problems with the HL engine further delayed the project.
<br>Planning started by end of december 2002 and it took me half a year to complete everything. That's it. Enjoy the action!

<br>I started with computerGFX on a C64 (some sprites & backgrounds for a friend's game which was never sold).
<br>On a Amiga500 i made GFX for a WHOLE game for 2 years (1989-1990) - DeluxePaint rocked! Me and a friend tried to sell it
<br>to a german game company, but it didn't turn out well (although we surely raised attention and got positive feedback).
<br>After switching over to the PC in 1993 i ended up with DOOM on my 386, making sprites & mapping levels for
<br>my own mod, JungleDoom. Since 1994 i can hardly remember a period of time where i wasn't trying to edit or 
<br>map for a pc game (duke nukem 3d, dark forces, outlaws, quake, quake2, etc etc).
<br> 
<br>After getting access to the internet in 1998 i became terribly interested in professional game-design.
<br>I've worked in 2 Starwars-Modteams and another WarGameproject like OpF. I also made high quality skins of myself
<br>(ref pics of photo cam) for SOF2 and a Vietcong skin for the EoD mod (Nam mod for Battlefield 1942).
<br> 
<br>What comes next ? Well, i'll do HL2 projects while searching for a job. Mod-work is nice and it teaches you how to
<br>do things, but there comes the time where you want to do the real stuff.
<br>I'm searching for a mapper / texture / concept artist job in the game industry or in any team that wants to make
<br>a full prize game. 
<br>
<br>I'm a very determined person that never gives up. Simply because i believe 100 % are not enough - 105 % make 
<br>a kickass project! Those extra 5 % are where your real creativity goes into, and they can raise your project out
<br>of the big mass of projects around the globe.

<br>Being my first map it's a very simple and small. I learned a great deal about map
<br>editing while making it. You fight human grunts and aliens in the storage area.
<br>There is a teleport inside the pop machine, so break it and hop in to be taken
<br>to a small Xen area. In the computer room on the left machine with 3 panels on
<br>it, you can use each panel to view parts of the map from a camera's point of
<br>view. There are also 4 secret rooms which contain extra weapons, you can access
<br>these by finding the secret buttons and the doors will open for a certain
<br>ammount of time. I hope you enjoy playing this map as much as I enjoyed making it.

<br>there is a satchel right outside, there is ammo for every gun in the room where up to 5 zombies that spawn from the same spot can be.

However after I found out they had spies in my company I decided to take action. However the previous team I sent in were ill prepared and never returned.

<br> I however have more faith in you, I must warn you the creatures are much stronger than we first thought. Intense research has lead to improvement of the creatures strength and stamina. Meaning they pose a significant threat to you and my companies future.

<br> You have been hired because, as you are former Black Mesa employees I believe you will have much more experience with these creatures, in light of this I know you will stand a better chance against them.

<br> Firstly you must get into the facility, I believe there is an entrance up ahead. Secondly one in the base you must make sure the facility won't be doing any research for along time, destroy the main equipment and eliminate all employees and creatures. Lastly I will need to obtain the precious data they are holding, use their satellite to transmit it to me.
<br>
<br> If you are successful you will receive your payment and be offered a full contract with my company. That is all....
